MONDAY - GOVERNMENT |

LEARNING TARGETS:
- After a bill leaves a committee what happens next?
- If a bill passes the House, what is the next step towards it becoming a signed law?
- Be able to explain the entire process of how a bill becomes a law and describe its journey through Congress.
AGENDA:
- Finish Committee Work - Keep track of what you did in your committee in Log #3 of your Congress Simulation Log (found in our Google Classroom).
- House Rules Committee meets to go over bills that passed out of committee and decide the rules for each bill.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Complete your Congress Simulation Debriefing (See Google Classroom)
- Be sure that your Log Book Entries 1-4 are complete.
- This is your final grade on this simulation.
- Be sure to answer each question thoroughly.

- Find out your roles for the simulation today!
- Begin working on your research for your roles.
AGENDA:
- Assign Roles for Simulation:
- Complete your survey on political issues.
- Complete your questions about where you'd like to be placed for the simulation.
- Parties and News Media - Mr. Williams
- Regions & Interest Groups - Mr. Portenga
- Instructions for your research & projects will be up in Google Classroom.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Do any research work that your role requires for the simulation.
- During the simulation, you will be required to complete a Political Parties Study Guide outside of class to help you better understand the happenings of the simulation. Parts of this study guide will be due at various points during the simulation and can be worked on in class or at home. All of these study guide assignments can be found in individual Google Classroom.
